A modern take on a timeless craft.
Our journey began in 1947, when Efthimios Chalkidis founded a small, traditional woodworking workshop on the ground floor of his home in Katerini. It was there that our first wooden structures, window frames, and custom furnishings were born—each one crafted with the versatile skill of a master carpenter of that era. Since then, the word “carpenter” (maragkos) has been our totem: the core of our philosophy and the root that fuels our every evolution.
To us, a carpenter is someone who understands wood as a living material, someone who respects it, listens to it, and transforms it. This profound relationship with the material, this dedication to detail, and this integrity in our work are the values that have guided us for nearly eighty years. Building upon this historical endurance, we have evolved our original family craft into a modern organization that handles the full spectrum of woodworking applications.
Today, we offer a holistic approach to timber construction: from a building’s structural elements to the finest details of interior furnishing. We study, design, and execute high-quality projects, providing security, consistency, and expertise at every stage. Our history gives us stability. Our know-how gives us precision. The carpenter’s philosophy gives us our identity.
We are a company that honors tradition, evolves technique, and delivers integrated woodworking solutions with substance, durability, and character.

The Company is divided into two separate but interconnected divisions.
CONTRACT
The modern form of an ancient art, where we execute orders for all woodworking constructions for both the exterior and interior of the building. Staircases, wooden window frames, pergolas, doors, wall and ceiling cladding, wooden flooring, custom creations.
LIVING
With flexibility in the use of modern and traditional materials and through dialogue with the client, we create their personal furniture for the kitchen, the wardrobe, even for custom made furnishings.

Our Facilities
OUR FACILITIES
Our main facilities are housed in a state-of-the-art showroom with a total area of 1,100 sqm in Vari, Attica, at Koropiou – Varis Ave. & Androu St., where Living and Contract will finally have the space they deserve! You will also find us in the center of Athens at our two new showrooms: Domogroup Living in Kolonaki at 25A Voukourestiou & Solonos St., and Domogroup Contract in Kolonaki (35 Solonos & 10 Lykavittou St.), where our experienced associates can assist you with all the woodworking services a building requires. Our Industrial Facilities and Distribution Center are located in Kouvaras, in a state-of-the-art complex!
